Key responsibilities
As an Assistant Accountant, you will assist the Senior Accountant in bookkeeping, and provide administrative and relational support to suppliers, clients, subsidies, and banks related to the portfolio of mandates. You will work in both real estate cost accounting and French general accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Accountant in managing a client portfolio and ensure accurate property management accounting.
- Entry of supplier invoices.
- Recording of bank transactions.
- Payment of suppliers.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Review and organization of transmitted documents into structured files.
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Assistance with the annual tax declaration.

Candidate Selection Criteria:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or BTS in accounting, management, or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting firm (preferably French) in a similar position
• Excellent command of written and spoken French
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Analytical and synthesis skills
• Well-organized, rigorous, and detail-oriented
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills
• Autonomous and able to work independently
Work condition:
• Monday to Friday: 9:30 am to 6:30 pm
• No operations on public holidays in Mauritius.
• Up to 2 days of remote work per week after 6 months of on-site work.
• 3-month probation period.
