Key responsibilities
As an Assistant Accountant, you will assist an Accounting Manager in France with bookkeeping, providing administrative and relational support to suppliers, clients, subsidies, and banks. You will also be supported by a Senior Accountant based in Mauritius.
- Accounting and management of the portfolio for one or more subsidiaries.
- Handling recurring billing, new contracts, and one-off interventions.
- Archiving customer contracts.
- Receiving and matching payments.
- Customer follow-up and debt collection.
- Sending client invoices through ASDEPIC in coordination with Agency Directors.
- Managing direct debit payments via Go Cardless.
- Receiving, recording, and filing supplier invoices.
- Preparing supplier payments in line with schedules.
- Recording daily bank transactions and performing bank reconciliations.
- Ensuring accurate maintenance of accounting records.
Administrative Management:
- Handling incoming phone calls and messages.
- Managing current and future supplier contracts: electricity, gas, phone, etc.
- Collecting general administrative documents and files.

Candidate Selection Criteria:
• Bachelor’s degree or BTS in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in accounting within a French company environment.
• Excellent command of written and spoken French.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Average time for processing supplier invoices.
• Average time for processing and reimbursing expense reports.
• Timeliness in filing and archiving documents.
• Supportive and collaborative director with an open-door policy to encourage communication and feedback.

Work condition:
• Monday to Friday: 9:30 am to 6:30 pm
• No operations on public holidays in Mauritius.
• Up to 2 days of remote work per week after 6 months of on-site work.
• 3-month probation period.
