Key responsibilities

HPA, a furniture expert, represents over 30 furniture brands across the Indian Ocean region (Mauritius, Seychelles, Réunion, and Madagascar). A showroom located in Beau Plan showcases two furniture and décor brands: La Redoute Intérieurs and AM-PM.

 

Job Objective:

Reporting directly to the General Management, you will contribute to the development strategy of various brands, including:

  • Managing one or more showrooms

  • Implementing procedures

  • Selecting products best suited to the market

  • Constantly seeking new clients in both the local and regional markets

  • You will also be responsible for the business development of the company, mainly through the development and management of sales to professionals (hotel groups, real estate developers, interior designers, etc.) and to individual customers.

  • You will contribute to the implementation of sales tools and commercial proposals, including mood boards or any other necessary documents with the support of internal teams.

 

Commercial Management:

  • Ensure proper implementation of the company’s sales and marketing strategy

  • Continuously prospect new clients and make commercial proposals to professionals

  • Oversee showroom layout and drive traffic and sales at the Beau Plan showroom

  • Stay informed about new hotel projects, renovations, and upcoming real estate developments

  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with all prospects: hotel groups (GMs, purchasing departments, etc.), property developers, external service providers (quantity surveyors, architects, etc.), and individual clients

 

Sales and Budget Monitoring:

  • Monitor sales performance

  • Ensure budget compliance and the profitability of sales tools

  • Report activity to general management (sales, market insights, etc.)

  • Propose and adjust the commercial strategy and tools to achieve your objectives

  • Lead and motivate a team of sales associates

 

Team Management:

  • Support daily operations, structure workflow, and ensure achievement of objectives

  • Manage two team members

 

Customer Follow-Up:

  • Ensure a smooth and high-quality customer experience throughout the sales process (quote, order, delivery)

Candidate Selection Criteria:


Bachelor's degree (BAC+3) in business or interior design

Strong leadership and team management skills

Driving license required

Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and team spirit

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

High energy, commitment, and autonomy

Well-organized, detail-oriented, and versatile

Hard Skills:
Prior experience in a similar role within a furniture/homeware retail or building materials business

Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Knowledge of AutoCAD or other design software is a plus

Work condition:

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
