Papaya is a company specialized in the rental of professional photography and videography equipment, serving both Mauritian and international professionals (photographers, videographers, agencies, and production crews).
Papaya works in collaboration with The Digital Coconut, a company renowned for producing high-end photo and video content, particularly for the hospitality and tourism sector in Mauritius.
Both companies share strong expertise in imaging, camera technology, and technical equipment, with a shared ambition to offer high-quality gear, personalized support, and professional service.
Papaya is currently in a strategic development phase, aiming to structure its operations, grow its revenue, and strengthen its market visibility.
The role involves overseeing the full management of Papaya’s activities (photo/video equipment rental), while actively contributing to business development and communication in order to structure and grow the business over the long term.
Key Responsibilities

Manage photography and videography equipment rentals (preparation, handover, return, and tracking)

Ensure maintenance, inspection, and proper functioning of all equipment

Welcome and assist clients at the Beau Plan office

Advise clients on the most suitable equipment for their needs (events, shoots, specific projects)

Develop commercial activities: prospecting, client retention, and acquisition of new clients

Contribute to the development of Papaya’s communication and brand visibility

Manage social media in collaboration with a colleague

Use internal tools: Booqable for rental management and Monday for daily organization

Occasionally collaborate with The Digital Coconut teams
