The Workshop Manager is responsible for the overall management of the ferrule workshop, including electroplating and mechanical manufacturing operations. He/She ensures product quality, adherence to production deadlines, team safety, and continuous optimization of industrial processes, while providing effective operational leadership to the teams.
Key Responsibilities
Industrial Process Management

Supervise electroplating processes in compliance with quality standards and production schedules.

Manage and optimize plating parameters to achieve the required finishes and material properties.

Oversee ferrule manufacturing operations, including swaging, polishing, annealing, conical forming, brushing, and surface preparation.

Ensure proper design, use, and maintenance of tooling (dies, mandrels, tools) to guarantee dimensional accuracy and product consistency.

Coordinate workflows between mechanical workshops and electroplating lines to meet delivery deadlines.
Team Management

Lead a team of approximately 30 technicians and operators (electroplating and ferrule manufacturing).

Ensure training, coaching, and continuous skills development of team members.

Allocate tasks, monitor individual and team performance, and foster collaboration to achieve production objectives.
Quality Control

Implement and enforce robust quality control procedures.

Perform or supervise regular inspections and tests to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer requirements.
Equipment Maintenance

Supervise maintenance of electroplating lines, polishing machines, swaging presses, and industrial furnaces.

Work closely with maintenance teams to quickly resolve technical incidents and minimize production downtime.
Safety and Compliance

Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industrial protocols.

Implement safe procedures for chemical handling, machine operation, and the maintenance of a healthy and secure work environment.
Continuous Improvement & Performance

Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity optimization.

Lead automation projects where relevant.

Apply industrial best practices to improve production flow and reduce scrap and rework.

Candidate Selection Criteria:
Education
Minimum Bac+2 / Diploma in industrial chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
Higher degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, MSc in chemistry or engineering) is an advantage.
Experience
2 to 5 years of experience in team management and industrial process supervision.
Experience in electroplating and/or metal parts manufacturing is a strong asset.
Hard Skills
Strong command of electroplating processes and related equipment.
Good knowledge of ferrule manufacturing processes (swaging, polishing, annealing, forming).
Technical skills in maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
Ability to analyze and validate technical drawings, dies, and mandrels.
Proficiency in quality control methods and industrial process validation.
Knowledge of safety, environmental standards, and chemical handling protocols.

Candidate Profile
Minimum Bac+2 qualification in industrial chemistry or equivalent field.

Work condition:
Base salary
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (overtime)
