Job objective:
Act as the co-pilot to the Group Finance Director, taking ownership of strategic financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across departments and geographies. This role is at the heart of SmartOne’s transformation and growth roadmap (FinRoad25), supporting decision-making through structured, predictive, and insightful reporting.
- Design and own the rolling forecast, annual budgeting, and variance analysis frameworks.
- Lead the implementation of dashboards and reporting tools (Excel, Google Sheets, BI tools).
- Partner closely with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and HR to align financial strategy with execution.
- Provide strategic support to the Finance Director on cash runway monitoring, cost control, and financial modelling.
- Support ERP implementation and improvement of financial processes and internal tools.
- Bring structure and predictability to reporting cycles with accurate data, delivered on time.
- Communicate key insights proactively to leadership and challenge assumptions when necessary.
- Contribute to shaping a finance culture that is data-driven, business-oriented, and internationally scalable.

Candidate Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5–8 years’ experience in FP&A, Business Finance, or Controlling (ideally in a scale-up or international company)
- Strong understanding of financial planning processes, forecasting, and budget management
- Proven ability to implement tools and structure where little exists
- Ability to work across time zones and collaborate remotely

Work condition:
Working hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility required due to coordination with teams in Madagascar, France & Canada)
Location: Workshop17 – Moka (Mon-Tue-Wed in office, Thu-Fri remote from anywhere)
