Key responsibilities
Under the responsibility of the Global Financial Controller – Medical Services BL, the analyst will be expected to be the primary support to the FC on matters of compliance, accounting and internal control. Below are the responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly balance sheet review process, in coordination with the shared services team as well as the various Finance Managers
- Be the primary POC for all interco related matters including reconciliations, settlements, novations etc.
- Highlight potential risks and/or exposures in the balance sheet accounts as well as in existing processes/methodologies and suggest improvements/adjustments where needed
- Primary responsibility for compliance and external reporting requirements such as VAT filing and audits
- Ensure that recurring deliverables to Corp or other internal stakeholders are reviewed and submitted on time
- Assist the Global MS FC / CFO / Finance Managers or other members of the Finance team on relevant Ad Hoc projects as may be deemed necessary
- Ensure proper training and communication with the GSS team and document with process maps and SOP’s

Candidate Selection Criteria:
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP / IFRS), income statement and balance sheet items is a must
• Able to work with a diverse group of people from different backgrounds and culture
• Knowledge of Middle East North Africa working environment and practices a big plus
• High computer literacy, such as in Excel, Word and Powerpoint is expected, whilst prior experience with COGNOS, SUN Systems and/or Vision Excel will be advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of public and/or private accounting experience.
• BS degree in Accounting or related course is required
• CPA, Chartered or Certified Accountant or any similar qualification is preferred
• Very good command of the English language, both oral and written is an absolute must. Arabic and/or French is a significant advantage.
