Key responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Accounting Manager to join our finance team. You will be at the heart of the company’s financial strategy and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial processes.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Ensure the reliability of accounts and compliance with international and local accounting standards.
- Supervise all accounting operations in your scope : receivable, payable and general accounting.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management.
- Ensure the financial statement validation without reserve by Auditors
- Facilitate and drive continuous process improvements, aiming to automate and streamline procedures wherever possible.
- Act as a technical leader, training and developing the team’s skills.
- Actively participate in ERP migration projects and the improvement of financial information systems.
- Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to management.
- Mitigate financial risks through the implementation of effective internal controls.
- Calculate monthly and year end corporate taxes to be accrued

- Accuracy and Timeliness: Ensure that monthly, quarterly, and annual closings are accurate and completed on time.
- Compliance and Reliability: Ensure compliance with international and local accounting standards and maintain the reliability of accounts.
- Process Improvements: Facilitate and drive continuous process improvements to automate and streamline procedures.
Medium Term (6 months)
- ERP Migration and System Improvement: Actively participate in ERP migration projects and contribute to the improvement of financial information systems.
- Financial Analysis and Recommendations: Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to management for improved decision-making.
- Internal Controls: Mitigate financial risks through the implementation of effective internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations.
- Team Development: Train and develop the team's skills to enhance their performance and efficiency.

The N+1 management style for an Accounting Regional Manager would involve a supportive and collaborative approach. Candidate Selection Criteria:
- Ambitious and result-oriented
- Strong experience in accounting, minimum 5 years or in a related field (e.g. audit) preferably in a multinational company
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and interact with international teams.
- Proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial management tools
- Mastery of generative AI (ex: ChatGPT/Poe.com, etc…) is a plus for improving day-to-day productivity
Work condition:
Working days and hours are from Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm.
Mauritius Public Holidays are non-working days.
