Key responsibilities
- Research and identify potential suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery time.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain supplier relationships.
- Develop bids to solicit proposals from suppliers.
- Analyse and evaluate bids to select the most suitable suppliers.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of purchase orders, contracts, and agreements with suppliers.
- Ensure that contracts align with the organization’s goals and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Create and issue purchase orders to suppliers.
- Track and monitor purchase order fulfilment to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with inventory management teams to ensure adequate stock levels and avoid stockouts.
- Implement strategies to optimize inventory costs.
- Analyse purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement cost-reduction measures, such as bulk purchasing or negotiating better terms.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.
- Implement performance metrics to evaluate supplier effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and address any non compliance issues.

Candidate Selection Criteria:
We are looking for someone with strong negotiation and excellent communication skills. Someone who is familiar with the entire procurement lifecycle, from requisition to payment. We are excited to meet people who comes in with different strategies to optimize costs in this field.
