Key responsibilities
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with the hotel’s accounting policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update accounting records, ledgers, and financial reports in compliance with statutory and internal requirements.
- Verify and approve purchase requisitions, invoices, and expense claims while ensuring cost control and budget compliance.
- Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and other financial records regularly to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and assist in the preparation of management reports.
- Monitor and control operational and departmental expenses in coordination with the Cost Controller.
- Assist in payroll preparation and ensure all employee-related financial data are correctly recorded.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate documentation and clarifications as required.
- Participate in budget planning and financial forecasting in collaboration with department heads.
- Perform any other cognate duties as may be assigned by the Finance Manager or Chief Accountant.

Goals & Performance Metrics:
You will undergo a probationary period of THREE (3) MONTHS as from the date of commencement of employment. After having successfully completed the probationary period you will be confirmed in your post.

Candidate Selection Criteria:
. principles, financial reporting, a Fully Qualified Acca or Degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent accounting qualification.
. At least 3 years’ experience as an Accountant in the Hospitality Industry.
. Sound knowledge of accounting and cost control.
. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of accounting software is an advantage.
. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality in handling financial data.
. Flexibility with time and schedule, especially during month-end closing and audits.
Work condition:
Working Monday to Friday 8h00-16h00 and Saturday 08h00 to 12h00. However, depending on the exigencies of our operations, we expect the candidate to be flexible.
