Key responsibilities

  1. The Role 

The Company is looking for an analytical, self-motivated individual who has hands on experience in management and financial accounting. In particular, the role will include:

  • Day-to-Day Financial Management: Oversee daily financial operations, including processing payments, entering transactions and month end accruals into QuickBooks, updating loan schedules, and preparing and issuing interest invoices to clients.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare the Company’s budget and financial forecasts, and update spreadsheets to show variances and financial trends.
  • Audit Participation: Support the annual audit process by managing year-end audit confirmations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with IFRS 9 procedures, including Expected Credit Loss (ECL) modelling and impairment testing.
  • Cash Flow and Financial Performance Management: Monitor the Company’s cash flow and preparing cash flow reports.
  • Board Reporting: Prepare board reports, within deadlines to help ensuring timely and accurate communication of financial performance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist with compliance efforts related to current laws and regulations, including managing Know Your Client (KYC) workflows and ensuring all necessary documentation is in place.
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Handle various administrative tasks such as maintaining updated company policies, filing returns, completing surveys, and addressing other ad-hoc requirements as needed.
  1. Requirements

The following requirements are important to this role. Candidates should highlight on their CVs relevant experience with the majority of the following areas:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A CPA, ACCA, or similar professional qualification is required
  • 3–7 years of experience as a finance controller, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of management accounting
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team
  • Effectively manages time and workload to meet deadlines and drive outcomes.
  • Experience with financial reporting or within the financial or impact sector is also a bonus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and accounting software
