Key responsibilities

About the Role:

Responsible of cleanliness of kitchen back and buffet area, service ware as per set standards

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and supervise daily work of the stewarding team in absence of Chief Steward
  • Regularly check all areas and surfaces cleaned by stewards as per checklist
  • Ensure that proper cleaning material and chemicals’ dosage are used
  • Assist Chief Steward in carrying out inventories of kitchen utensils and canteen service wares
  • Assist Chief Steward in monitoring usage of chemicals by stewards
  • Ensures that kitchen and buffet areas are kept clean and risk free at all times as per safety instructions
  • Assists Chief Steward in ensuring that Haccp requirements as regard cleanliness and hygiene are met
  • Reports any accident to Executive chef in absence of Chief Steward
  • Ensure that the food production areas are supplied with clean and dry kitchen utensils
  • Assists the Chief Steward and F&B team in buffet decorations as and when required
  • Ensure that the back of the house cleaning schedules and garbage runs are strictly adhered to
  • Inform Chief Steward of damages related to stewarding

You will undergo a probationary period of SIX (6) MONTHS as from the date of commencement of employment. After having successfully completed the probationary period you will be confirmed in your post.

• Qualifications: Form 4

• Experience: At least 3 years in supervisory position in same field

• Personal Qualities: Organisational Skills, Planning and Good communication
