Key responsibilities

The Night Cook will work closely with other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow and uphold food safety standards.

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.

Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality expectations.

Assist in menu planning and development, providing input based on customer feedback and seasonal availability.

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations during busy shifts.

Perform regular equipment checks and maintenance, reporting any issues to the Head Chef.

Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.

Contribute to a positive team environment and assist with training new kitchen staff as necessary.

Goals & Performance Metrics:

You will undergo a probationary period of SIX (6) MONTHS as from the date of commencement of employment. After having successfully completed the probationary period you will be confirmed in your post.

Stands in for Shift (Day, afternoon or night shift)

Working Monday to Sunday 8h00-16h00 or 15h00 - 23h00. However, depending on the exigencies of our operations, we expect the candidate to be flexible.
