Key responsibilities
About the Role:
Perform basic culinary tasks and assist the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in food production
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean and sanitise working top before starting mise en place
- Attend departmental briefing by Chef de Partie
- Prepare mise en place as per menu
- Cook simple dishes as instructed by Chef de Partie
- Display food products on buffet and label them accordingly
- Prepare salads
- Take temperature of food products as per instructions of Chef de Partie
- Handle simple food orders
- Perform any cognate duties assigned by Chef de Partie
- Report any anomalies in the section to Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef
- Assist the Chef de Partie in coaching the Assistant Cooks
- Ensure Attitude grooming standard while on duty and until leave the hotel premises.
- Appear confident, well-groomed, and dressed in hotel uniform as per grooming standards.
- Conduct his/her duties in a courteous, safe, efficient and in the most productive manner, in accordance with the hotel’s policies and procedures, brand standards and code of conduct, ensuring that a high level of service is maintained.

Goals & Performance Metrics:
You will undergo a probationary period of SIX (6) MONTHS as from the date of commencement of employment. After having successfully completed the probationary period you will be confirmed in your post.

Candidate Selection Criteria:
• Qualifications: Form 4, NC3 Food Production
• Experience: At least 2 years' experience
• Personal Qualities: Organisational Skills, Planning and Good communication
