Key responsibilities

About the Role:

Responsible for the preparation and supply of bread to all kitchen outlets for breakfast, lunch, dinner

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clean and sanitise working top every time before proceeding with other tasks and at the end of shift
  • Mix ingredients, prepare dough and bake according to standard recipes to produce small quantities of bread, burgers, croissants, other types of viennoiseries and cakes and any other designated dough or pastries for kitchen as per production schedule provided by Pastry Chef
  • Display viennoiseries and bread on buffet and refill where and when necessary
  • Clear out buffet after each service
  • Ensure sufficient quantity of bread is provided to all outlets including canteen before each meal time
  • Prepare pizza dough and delivers to hot area
  • Prepare mise en place one day in advance
  • Assists Pastry Chef as and when required
  • Ensure good and safe use of ovens, working materials and PPEs
  • Perform any cognate duties assigned by Pastry Chef
  • Check temperature of refrigerator/ freezer before and after service
  • Assist the Pastry Chef in delivering on the job training for new recruits and existing team
  • Report any anomalies to Pastry Chef

You will undergo a probationary period of SIX (6) MONTHS as from the date of commencement of employment. After having successfully completed the probationary period you will be confirmed in your post.

Candidate Selection Criteria:

• Qualifications: Form 4, NC3 Food Production/ Pastry

• Experience: At least 2 years' experience

• Personal Qualities: Good Planning Skills
