Key responsibilities

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
|
Opens and closes the Store as per set times.
Performs the cleaning of store areas and stores all perishable and non-perishable items under ideal conditions in terms of temperature, humidity, shelf life and hygiene.
Carries and arranges all incoming materials for verification by Superiors.
Assists the Storekeeper in verifying that goods received are of the same quality and quantity ordered.
Unpacks incoming goods as per instructions and sorts out each item according to the section of the Store in which it will be kept.
Assists the Storekeeper in dispatching goods/items once the appropriate approval signature is obtained.
Informs the Storekeeper of any case of spoilage, damage or lost item.
Regularly checks for any expired, or near expiry items and inform Superiors accordingly.
Attends and participates actively in any daily/weekly/monthly briefings or meetings organized by the Store section.
Assists the Storekeeper in carrying out inventories of goods/items stored in the storeroom(s).
Assists the Storekeeper in checking working areas and operating equipment(s), for maintenance purposes and reports to Superiors.
Keeps an accurate knowledge of the purpose and handling of each equipment and accessories used in the Store section.
Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance, and ensures that uniforms are kept clean and in good condition while on duty.
Abides by all Rules & Regulations of the Store section at all times.

Goals & Performance Metrics:
You will undergo a probationary period of THREE (3) MONTHS as from the date of commencement of employment. After having successfully completed the probationary period you will be confirmed in your post.

Work condition:
Working Monday to Saturday 8h00-16h00 . However, depending on the exigencies of our operations, we expect the candidate to be flexible.
