Responsibilities :

You are also responsible for the development of the Engineering Team and staying abreast of compliance regulations and procedures in the field of Engineering, as required for hotel standards. Specifically, an Engineer will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Perform day-to-day routine and preventative maintenance kitchen equipment

  • Carry out preventive maintenance, repair or retrofit of all type of A/C & Refrigeration including Cold & Freezer rooms work, records and analyses operating logs and utilities. Take immediate measures as necessary.

  • Respond promptly and efficiently to any maintenance calls that arise

  • Execute the preventative maintenance schedule and ensure all equipment and designated areas are maintained to the required standard

  • Assist in the implementation of energy conservation program

  • Recommend maintenance system improvements and energy savings

  • Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition

  • Keep your technical training knowledge and skills up to date 

Qualifications :

  • Reasonably high level of knowledge and skill in, Refrigeration and Kitchen Equipment

  • Candidate should have a minimum of two years experience in the same position with a trade certificate (NTC3/2) in A/C and refrigeration (HVAC)

  • Ability to repair and maintain A/C air handling units, fan coils and cold storage and refrigerators

  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and use of test equipment

  • Proficiency in the above areas and a good foundation in all other areas
