ABZ Global Solutions, an International Company operating in Mauritius Grand Bay is recruiting for the position of Finance Controller – Trainee

Our company is of very international nature, dealing with people from all around the world and operating in the ICT and online tourism sector while following a very modern and efficient approach to business.

For the post of Finance Controller – Trainee, we are looking for someone who will work together with our Finance Controller and be responsible for all internal accounting related matters, including invoices, accounting documents and communication with suppliers and clients regarding any accounting or financial related matter while also performing cash management functions and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, payroll and bank reconciliation functions.


The position involves being in charge of the company’s key responsibilities including:

  • Manage all accounting documents

  • Communication with accountant regarding everyday accounting requirements

  • Overview all expenses invoices, verifying the amount to be paid

  • Issue income invoices and payment confirmation to clients

  • Processing refunds and record keeping for all refunds

  • Internal book keeping

  • Manage reports on company’s staff work attendance

  • Monitor payments to suppliers and debtors

  • Updating the income and expenses datasheets

The task will be to help the Finance Controller in the daily routine while maintain existing financial systems including petty cash, expenses, mileage claims, income & expenditure records, process all payments through Cash flow and invoices [accounts payable].


Job Requirements

Desired candidate profile:

  • HSC or Diploma in Finance/Accounting or relevant

  • Living in the vincinity of Grand Baie or in the north will be an advantage

  • Ideally from an administration background with the desire to progress and take on an increased responsibility

  • Experience in book-keeping




  • Administration & financial background

  • Very high attention to details

  • Experience in Microsoft tools [word/Excel]

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Very comfortable in using Internet and conducting email communication

  • Fast learner and Motivated– have the ability to adjust and learn new subjects and skills

  • Reliable, flexible, self starter, honest and hard working and Problem solving skills

  • Experience of Accounts Payable
