ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Manage team development, coaching and effectiveness for all direct reports

  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of Dayforce infrastructure (architecture, data centers, CTC, Standalone and POD setups, SSO, core sites) and deployment process (upgrades, hotfixes, data center migrations, CAB planning, account management around upgrade/hotfix timelines)

  • Responsible for execution of complex infrastruture activities which may contain significant risk to Dayforce clients

  • Provide technical and operational oversight with infrastructure initiatives that involve multiple stakeholder groups

  • Work closely with other technology teams to accept, manage and deliver on shared commitments

  • Maintain vendor support and service provider relationships to ensure uptime commitments are met across Dayforce platforms

  • Champion establishment and adherence to standard configurations and operational processes for the Dayforce Deployment and Hosting processes

  • Responsible to produce documented policies, procedures, standards and architectures for the Dayforce Deployment and Hosting processes and ensuring team members follow accordingly

  • Responsible for the operational maintenance of the Dayforce infrastructure including patching, upgrade and hotfixing of all client related infrastructure and reporting

  • Responsible to ensure Architecture, Development, Application Support, Performance and Monitoring and other groups are engaged on projects or operational initiatives as needed

  • Lead solving complex technical problems and assist with resolution of high severity incidents

  • Maintain relationships with architecture teams and foster a collaborative partnership in the development of new architectures and solutions that leverage the teams engineering and operational expertise

  • Responsible for review of root cause determinations (RCA) for network related incidents and accountable for implementation of resulting action items or recommendations for improvement

  • Responsible for overall leadership, performance, communications (internal and client facing), reporting, and systems availability functions of the Dayforce Infrastructure Organization

  • Directs and leads a team of IT professionals who support business critical applications and hosted systems and engages the team in troubleshooting, performance analysis, installation, maintenance, and user support activities to maximize stability and systems availability

  • Responsible for monitoring and alerting of systems to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance

  • Plans and conducts software upgrades, security patches, and operating system updates

Mandatory Requirements / Experiences :

  • 5+ years of applicable work experience (hosting and platform upgrades) in an enterprise infrastructure environment

  • 3+ years of hands on technical expertise in the Dayforce Deployment and/or process (including 1+ year as a Lead engineer within the process)

  • Strong stakeholder management with onshore leaders in the Deployment and Hosting processes

  • Deep knowledge of monitoring tools such as (PRTG, Sumo Logic, App Dynamics, Pingdom, Octopus, fiddler)

  • Deep knowledge of Dayforce clocks (web clocks, hardware clocks and HTML clocks)

  • Extensive hands on knowledge of Dayforce infrastructure (BJE, IIS, Application Logs)

  • Hands on experience in production change requests and reviews

  • Hands on experience in leading Dayforce major incident management scenarios

  • Hands on experience in infrastructure set up for Dayforce (support apps, dashboard)
