RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Compliance Officer shall comply with all instructions of the company and report to the Head of Division in carrying out duties which shall include but not be limited to the following:

  • Fostering a compliance culture within the Company

  • Drafting and subsequent reviews of policies, procedures and manuals

  • Developing staff awareness on the latest amendments to Laws/ Regulations which apply to the business activities of the Company

  • Brainstorming sessions with regards to procedures and policies’ improvement

  • Staff trainings with regards to new policies and procedures and AML/CFT

  • Implementation and monitoring of various Committees within the company

  • Ensuring compliance with the Code of Corporate Governance

  • Liaising with the Regulator and other relevant authorities

  • Reviewing surveys

  • File reviews to ensure compliance

  • Risk Ratings and Reviews

  • Conducting relevant checks on principals of business

  • Preparing Compliance Reports for Management

  • Research work in relation to new licences and new Laws/ Regulations

  • Review of Customer Due Diligence prior to client acceptance

  • Internal and External Due Diligence

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience & Qualification:

  • 3 Years of Experience

  • LLB (Hons) / Law and Management/ A Master’s degree in Law/Professional qualification would be an advantage

  • Good communication skills

  • Fluent in spoken and written English and French

  • Be Trustworthy and meticulous

  • Good time management skills

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Maintain confidentiality at the highest level at all times

  • Previous experience as compliance officer will be an advantage.

  • Familiarity with legislation and regulatory framework of the company

  • Flexible and willing to work additional hours as and when required
