• Plan and supervise daily work of the stewarding team in absence of Chief Steward
  • Regularly check all areas and surfaces cleaned by stewards as per checklist
  • Ensure that proper cleaning material and chemicals’ dosage are used
  • Assist Chief Steward in carrying out inventories of kitchen utensils and canteen service wares
  • Assist Chief Steward in monitoring usage of chemicals by stewards
  • Ensures that kitchen and buffet areas are kept clean and risk free at all times as per safety instructions
  • Assists Chief Steward in ensuring that Haccp requirements as regard cleanliness and hygiene are met
  • Reports any accident to Executive chef in absence of Chief Steward
  • Ensure that the food production areas are supplied with clean and dry kitchen utensils
  • Assists the Chief Steward and F&B team in buffet decorations as and when required
  • Ensure that the back of the house cleaning schedules and garbage runs are strictly adhered to
  • Inform Chief Steward of damages related to stewarding
  • Ensure that team abides to safety instructions when operating machines and equipment
  • Liaise with the kitchen outlets and F&B department on daily operations and quality control
  • Assist Chief Steward in ensuring the arrangements for food service equipments and materials for buffets, banquets and special events
  • Assist Chief Steward in supervising the distribution of requisitioned foodstuffs from store to all outlets
  • Ensure Attitude grooming standard while on duty and until leave the hotel premises
  • Appear confident, well-groomed, and dressed in hotel uniform as per grooming standards
  • Conduct his/her duties in a courteous, safe, efficient and in the most productive manner, in accordance with the hotel’s policies and procedures, brand standards and code of conduct, ensuring that a high level of service is maintained
  • To maintain a good rapport and working relationship with employees within the department and all other departments
  • Ensure to check the rosters on daily basis and be aware of any shift changes and adjust the working schedule accordingly
  • To participate in employee yearly performance appraisal
  • To assist monthly, quarterly, bi-yearly, yearly inventory of operating equipment
  • To attend training and meetings as and when required
  • To ensure to report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform/attire and name tag at all times and to ensure you maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department appearance standard
  • Address any complaints of harassment and discrimination promptly and confidentially
  • To ensure that you read, understand and adhere to the hotel’s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to COVID-19, Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety
  • Aware of terms and conditions of employment, local legislation, and company/hotel policies and procedures
  •  To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs
  • All Family members are required to comply with every reasonable request from their hierarchical supervisor(s) within an amount of time that it takes to comply under normal circumstances
  • All Family members may be assigned to other duties in the hotel as and when required by business levels
  • Perform any cognate duties that may be assigned to you by Management and head office
  • Ensure that all potential and real Hazards are reported immediately and rectified
  • Ensure you work in a manner which is safe and unlikely to give risk of harm or injury to yourself or others
  • Use safe manual handling techniques and practice safe work habits following Attitude Health, Safety and Environment policies, maintain procedures to minimize our impact on the environment and prevent pollution

  • Qualifications: Form 4
  • Experience: Atleast 3 years in supervisory position in same field

  • Personal Qualities: Coaching and training skills
  • Additional Skill required: Knowledge of Hotel Operations, HACCP standards
