Instrumentation Engineer

Business Description

Our client is regarded as one of the most modern sugar factories in the island. Moreover, the sugar mill has successfully adapted to changes on the international front with evolving global commercial agreements and changing market demands. Today, they are looking to recruit an Instrumentation Engineer.

Main duties and responsibilities 

• Responsible for the efficient running of Instrumentation workshop. Day-to-day basis – People Management
• Responsible for the maintenance of all Instrumentation equipment; Transmitters, Sensors, Pneumatic Valves, Juice Scale, Metal Detector, VSDs, compressor etc..
• Knowledge in PLC programming
• Ensure smooth operation of all machines through preventive and corrective actions
• Attend to daily requests from other departments crop/off crop. On-site Troubleshooting
• Data collection of existing equipment
• Work on new projects in collaboration with Automation Engineer
• Assist in budget monitoring and preparations
• Stock management of critical parts
• Ensure compliance with company’s health & safety and food quality & safety policy
